Now Facebook & Instagram Users Can Hide Their Like Counts!

If you are a Facebook and Instagram user now you can cover your public like counts on all your posts. This option can be enabled in the app’s settings, which allows you to stop seeing any likes on your home feed, while also allowing you to hide likes from your post. This option is introduced from 26–05–2021 and has been officially announced by Instagram on their website.

Instagram has mentioned that: Changing the way people view like counts is a big shift. We’ll continue working on new ways to give people more choice, so they feel good about the time they spend on our apps.

Hiding Like Counts on Instagram and Facebook

How to Hide Your Own Like Counts?

You have two options when it comes to hiding your own like counts. You can either choose to hide likes on all the content published in your account or you can hide likes while posting new content.

Option 1:

To hide like counts on all posts go to Settings > Advanced Settings > Hide Like and View Counts.

Option 2:

By using this option you can hide like counts on individual pieces of content from the post composer screen.

For enabling this you should choose the post you want to hide likes then Click on Options > Hide Like / View Counts.

Conclusion:

Facebook has introduced this option currently on Instagram and this option will be rolled out to Facebook in the coming weeks.
